Psychological barriers to communication: 1. Pre-mature evaluation acts as a barrier when people evaluate the meaning of message before sender completes his message due to pre- conceived notions or prejudices. 2. Lack of attention due to preoccupied mind of receiver and the resultant non-listening of message acts as a psychological barrier 3. Loss of transmission and poor retention due to successive transmission of the message through various levels and inattentiveness or lack of interest of listeners acts as a barrier to communication. 4.
