Leadership tries to bring change in the behaviour of others.

organisation.

It indicates the characteristics which describe an
organisation and distinguish one organisation from the
• other.
Individual autonomy, reward orientation, consideration to
employees, risk-taking, etc. are the characteristics which
help in developing better organisational climate.
• (ii) Status
It means ranking of positions in the organisation. The authority,
responsibility, rewards, recognition etc. of a job indicate the
• status given to a person.
Psychological, social and esteem needs of an individual are
satisfied by status given to their job.
