With the help of circuit diagrams, briefly explain the forward biasing and the reverse biasing of a p-n junction diode.

Forward biasing
The p-side of the diode is connected to the positive terminal and the n-side is connected to the negative terminal of the battery.
Reverse biasingThe p-side of the diode is connected to the negative terminal and the n-side is connected to the positive terminal of the battery.
