Marking-scheme solution
(a)
The charge of the additional charge carriers is just equal and opposite to that of the ionised cores in the lattice.
(b)
Under equilibrium, the diffusion current is equal to the drift current.
(c)
Reverse current is limited due to the concentration of minority charge carriers on either side of the junction.
