India has always been primarily dependent on agriculture sector. However, in the recent times this sector has been contributing least to the Gross Value Added (GVA) at $\displaystyle 16$%. Whereas, contribution to GVA by agriculture sector in China is meagre $\displaystyle 7$%.On the other hand, China has always be known for its robust industrial sector standing at $\displaystyle 41$% as against $\displaystyle 30$% in India.Service sector in both China ($\displaystyle 52$%) and India ($\displaystyle 54$%) are now contributing more than half to the GVA.It indicates that both India and China are highly dependent on their tertiary sector.
