Explain the following features of 'Management':

Management is a continuous process.

(ii)

Management is all pervasive.

• (i) Management is a continuous process. The process of management is a series of continuous, composite, but separate functions (planning, organising,• directing, staffing and controlling). These functions are simultaneously performed by all managers all the time. • (ii) Management is all pervasive. The activities involved in managing an enterprise are common to all types of organisations whether • economic, social or political. The management may differ from organization to organization or country to country.• (i) Mainly behavioural Management principles aim at influencing behaviour of human beings. Therefore, principles of management are • mainly behavioral in nature. They enable a better understanding of the relationship between human and material resources in accomplishing organisational purposes.. • (ii) Contingent The application of principles of management is contingent or dependent upon the prevailing situation at a particular point of • time. Their application has to be changed as per requirements.
