$\displaystyle \frac{d y}{d x}=2\left(x+\sqrt{x^{2}-1}\right)\left(1+\frac{x}{\sqrt{x^{2}-1}}\right)=\frac{2\left(x+\sqrt{x^{2}-1}\right)^{2}}{\sqrt{x^{2}-1}}$
