A solution of two components containing $\displaystyle \mathrm{n}_1$ moles of the $\displaystyle 1^{\text {st }}$ component and $\displaystyle \mathrm{n}_2$ moles of the $\displaystyle 2^{\text {nd }}$ component is prepared. $\displaystyle \mathrm{M}_1$ and $\displaystyle \mathrm{M}_2$ are the molecular weights of component $\displaystyle 1$ and $\displaystyle 2$ respectively. If d is the density of the solution in $\displaystyle \mathrm{g} \mathrm{mL}^{-1}, \mathrm{C}_2$ is the molarity and $\displaystyle x_2$ is the mole fraction of the $\displaystyle 2^{\text {nd }}$ component, then $\displaystyle \mathrm{C}_2$ can be expressed as :
