Because of the absence of unpaired electrons in their d-orbitals resulting in weak bonding between the atoms/ due to presence of fully filled d orbitals , weak metallic bonding takes place.

Because Cr is more stable in +$\displaystyle 3$ due to stable \(\displaystyle \mathrm{t}_{2 \mathrm{~g}}^{3}\) configuration while Mn
