Features of the function of management:
(i)
Planning focuses on achieving objectives. Planning
has no meaning unless it contributes to the
achievement of predetermined organisational goals.

Planning is a primary function of management. It
lays down the base for other functions of
management.

Planning is pervasive function of management. It is
required at all levels of management as well as in
all departments of the organisation.
(iv)
Planning is continuous function of management. It
means that a plan is framed, it is implemented, and
is followed by another plan, and so on.

Planning is futuristic. Planning is regarded as a
