& f=\frac{1}{2}=0.5 \mathrm{~m}=50 \mathrm{~cm} \\

& \frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{v}-\frac{1}{u} \\
& \frac{1}{v}=\frac{1}{f}+\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{50}-\frac{1}{100}=\frac{1}{100} \\

Alternate answer only for image distance Since object is at 2f, image will be formed at 2f. Therefore, image distance is $\displaystyle 100$ cm. as \(\displaystyle \mathrm{f}=50 \mathrm{~cm}, \mathrm{u}=1 \mathrm{~m}\) or \(\displaystyle 100 \mathrm{~cm}=2 \mathrm{f}\)
