In the given figure, ABCD is a quadrilateral. Diagonal BD bisects $\displaystyle \angle \mathrm{B}$ and $\displaystyle \angle \mathrm{D}$ both. Prove that :

Marking-scheme solution
(i) In \(\displaystyle \triangle \mathrm{ABD}\) & \(\displaystyle \triangle \mathrm{CBD}\)
\[\begin{aligned}
& \angle 3=\angle 4 \\
& \angle 1=\angle 2
\end{aligned}
\]
(ii) \(\displaystyle \triangle \mathrm{ABD} \cong \triangle \mathrm{CBD}\)
\(\displaystyle \therefore \mathrm{AB}=\mathrm{BC}\)
