If $\displaystyle \alpha, \beta$ are the zeroes of the polynomial $\displaystyle p(x)=x^{2}-3 x-1$, then find the value of $\displaystyle \frac{1}{\alpha}+\frac{1}{\beta}$.
Marking-scheme solution
Here, \(\displaystyle \alpha+\beta=3, \alpha \beta=-1\)

\frac{1}{\alpha}+\frac{1}{\beta}=\frac{\alpha+\beta}{\alpha \beta} & =\frac{3}{-1} \\
