Assertion $\displaystyle (A): \mathrm{ABCD}$ is a trapezium with $\displaystyle \mathrm{DC} \| \mathrm{AB} . \mathrm{E}$ and F are points on AD and BC respectively, such that EF $\displaystyle \| \mathrm{AB}$. Then $\displaystyle \frac{\mathrm{AE}}{\mathrm{ED}}=\frac{\mathrm{BF}}{\mathrm{FC}}$. Reason $\displaystyle (R)$ : Any line parallel to parallel sides of a trapezium divides the non-parallel sides proportionally.
Official answer
From CBSE’s own marking scheme for this paper.
(A)
