What is meant by the term 'displacement current'? Briefly explain how this current is different from a conduction current.

Displacement current: It is the current that arises due to the rate of change of electric field/flux.

Difference:
Displacement current is due to change in electric flux.
Conduction current is due to flow of electrons.
