(i)
Since they have different wavelengths and frequencies, they differ considerably in their mode of interaction with matter.
(ii)
The frequency of microwaves matches the resonant frequency of water molecules, so that energy from the wave is transferred to the water molecules.
(iii)
To protect their eyes from the large amount of ultraviolet rays produced by welding.
