Define conductivity for the solution of an electrolyte. Why does the conductivity of a solution decrease with dilution ?

Conductivity is the conductance of one unit volume of solution kept between two platinum electrodes with unit area of cross-section and at a distance of unit length.Because of decrease in the number of ions per unit volume.
