Assertion (A) : For a Daniell cell, $\displaystyle \mathrm{Zn} / \mathrm{Zn}^{2+}(1 \mathrm{M}) \| \mathrm{Cu}^{2+}(1 \mathrm{M}) / \mathrm{Cu}$ with $\displaystyle \mathrm{E}^{\circ}$ cell $\displaystyle =1.1 \mathrm{~V}$, if the external opposing potential is more than $\displaystyle 1.1$ V, the electrons flow from Cu to Zn.
Reason (R) : Cell acts like a galvanic cell.
Official answer
From CBSE’s own marking scheme for this paper.
(C)
