Due to spread of COVID-$\displaystyle 19$ pandemic, employees of almostall the companies were working online from their homes. In $\displaystyle 2022$when most of the companies called them back to their office andstarted working offline, ‘Taty Software Ltd.' still asked theiremployees to work from home. Because of this, employees ofTaty Software Ltd. were feeling bored, hence for recreation theyformed a cricket-club. (i)
The type of organization so formed is ‘Informal
Organization’.
Informal organization is a network of personal and social relations
not established or required by the formal organization but arising
spontaneously as people associate with one another.
(ii)
Advantages of Informal Organisation:
(i)
It leads to faster spread of information as well as a quick
feedback.
(ii)
It fulfills the social needs of the members.
(iii)
It contributes towards fulfillment of organisational objectives by
compensating for inadequacies in the formal organisation.
Limitations of informal organisation:
(i)
It leads to spread of rumours which becomes a destructive force
and may go against the interest of the formal organisation.
(ii)
It may lead to resistance to change which may delay or restrict
growth.
(iii)
It pressurizes members to conform to group expectations which
may be against organisational interest.
