Negatively charged DNA fragments move towards anode under electric field, DNA fragments separate (resolve) according to their size due to sieving effect of agarose gel.
(b)
The DNA fragments can be visualised as orange coloured bands in a ethidium bromide stained gel, exposed to UV light.
