How do 'implants' act as an effective method of contraception in human females ? Mention one advantage of implants over contraceptive pills.

• Implants work by inhibiting ovulation / inhibiting implantation /changing the
quality of cervical mucus to retard entry of sperms.
• The effective periods are much longer than those of pills.
