Briefly describe the process of DNA extraction from a fungal cell. Name the chemicals used in the process.
Marking-scheme solution
Fungal cell is treated with Chitinase enzyme to digest the membrane.
RNA is removed by treating with Ribonuclease.
Proteins removed by treating with protease.
Chilled ethanol is then added and purified DNA precipitates out.
