State any two observations when an electric current is passed through acidulated water, in a container having each electrode covered by test tubes filled with water.

(a) Observations:
Formation of bubbles at both the electrodes.
These bubbles displace water in both the test tubes.
Volume of gas collected at Cathode is twice the volume of gas collected at anode.
