(b) Primary consumers feed on green plants which have large amount of energy. Only $\displaystyle 10$% of its energy is available/passed for the next secondary consumer /trophic level.
(c) The base is broad as the number/energy/mass of producers is usually the highest in comparison to other trophic levels of the pyramid.
