The organisms of the first trophic level fix up the solar energy and makes it available for heterotrophs or the consumers.
(b)
As energy moves progressively through various trophic levels it is no longer available to previous level / The energy that is captured by autotrophs does not revert back to solar input. /The energy passed to herbivores does not come back to autotrophs(producers).
