Determine graphically, the coordinates of vertices of a triangle whose equations are $\displaystyle 2 x-3 y+6=0 ; 2 x+3 y-18=0$ and $\displaystyle x=0$. Also, find the area of this triangle.
Marking-scheme solution
Coordinates of vertices of the triangle are A$\displaystyle (0,2)$, B$\displaystyle (3,4)$ and C$\displaystyle (0,6)$
Area of \(\displaystyle \Delta \mathrm{ABC}=\frac{1}{2} \times 4 \times 3=6\) sq. units
