Privacy policy

SolveIt is a study app: real CBSE board questions, with every answer from the board's own marking scheme, on the web at solveit.page and as a mobile app. It is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page lists everything it touches — there is nothing else.

What we store, and where

• A random device id. The first time you use SolveIt, it generates a random identifier on your device. It is not your name, email, phone number, or advertising ID, and it cannot be traced back to you. It exists so your practice history can follow you on that device.
• Your practice attempts. When you answer a question, the attempt — which question, which option you picked or how you graded yourself, and whether it was correct — is saved on your device and, when you are online, sent to our server with the random device id so your progress survives a reinstall and (if you later sign in) can follow you across devices.
• If you sign in (optional):your email address, and your name if you use Google sign-in. Signing in links your device's attempts to your account so progress syncs. The app works fully without an account.

Data is stored with our hosting providers: Supabase (database), Vercel (website) and Fly.io (API). Like most web hosts, they keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations.

What we never collect

• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files.
• No payment information — the app has nothing to buy.
• We never sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.

Offline first

The mobile app ships its entire question bank on the device and works with no internet connection. Your progress, streak and saved questions live on your device. The only thing the app sends anywhere is the practice attempts described above, and only when you are online.

Children

SolveIt is made for school students. That is exactly why it shows no ads, embeds no trackers, and works without an account. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account; everything else needs no account at all.

Deleting your data

• On your device:the app's You tab has “Clear this device's progress”, which erases everything stored locally. Uninstalling the app does the same.
• On our server: email hello@solveit.page from the address you signed in with (or include your device id) and we will delete your attempts and account record.

Changes

If a future version of SolveIt changes what it collects, this page will say so before that version ships, with a new “last updated” date.
