Statement I: Propene on treatment with diborane gives an addition product with the formula $\displaystyle \left(\left(\mathrm{CH}_3\right)_2-\mathrm{CH}\right)_3 \mathrm{~B}$.
Statement II: Oxidation of $\displaystyle \left(\left(\mathrm{CH}_3\right)_2-\mathrm{CH}\right)_3 \mathrm{~B}$ with hydrogen peroxide in presence of NaOH gives propan-$\displaystyle 2$-ol.
