Given below are two statements: Statement - I: When μ amount of an ideal gas undergoes adiabatic change from state ( P_1, V_1, T_1) to state ( P_2,…

Given below are two statements: Statement - I : When $\displaystyle \mu$ amount of an ideal gas undergoes adiabatic change from state $\displaystyle \left(\mathrm{P}_1, \mathrm{~V}_1, \mathrm{~T}_1\right)$ to state $\displaystyle \left(\mathrm{P}_2, \mathrm{~V}_2, \mathrm{~T}_2\right)$, then work done is $\displaystyle \mathrm{W}=\frac{\mu \mathrm{R}\left(\mathrm{T}_2-\mathrm{T}_1\right)}{1-\gamma}$, where $\displaystyle \gamma=\frac{\mathrm{C}_{\mathrm{p}}}{\mathrm{C}_{\mathrm{V}}}$ and $\displaystyle \mathrm{R}=$ universal gas constant. Statement - II : In the above case, when work is done on the gas, the temperature of the gas would rise.Choose the correct answer from the options given below:
