(b) Nitro group is electron withdrawing group, it withdraws electron density from the benzene ring and facilitates the attack of nucleophile on haloarene.
(c) \(\displaystyle \mathrm{CH}_{3}-\mathrm{CH}_{2}-\mathrm{Cl}+\mathrm{KOH}(\mathrm{alc}) \longrightarrow \mathrm{CH}_{2}=\mathrm{CH}_{2}+\mathrm{KCl}+\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O} /\) Ethene is formed.
