What type of deviation is shown by a mixture of chloroform and acetone from Raoult's law ? Give reason. What will happen to the boiling point of the solution on mixing chloroform and acetone ?

• Negative deviation
• Due to the formation of hydrogen bonding between chloroform and
acetone molecules which is stronger than interactions present between
chloroform-chloroform and acetone-acetone.
• Boiling point of the solution increases.
