Explain any two features of Intensive Subsistence farming.
Marking-scheme solution
(i) This type of farming is practised in areas of high population pressure on land.
(ii) It is labour-intensive farming where high doses of biochemical inputs and irrigation are used for obtaining higher production.
(iii) There is enormous pressure on agricultural land owing to division of land and absence of alternative source of livelihood.
(iv) It is practiced in states such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana etc.
