In the given figure, O is the centre of the circle. PQ and PR are tangents. Show that the quadrilateral PQOR is cyclic.
Marking-scheme solution
As radius is perpendicular to tangent,
\(\displaystyle \angle \mathrm{PQO}=90^{\circ}, \angle \mathrm{PRO}=90^{\circ}\)
\(\displaystyle \therefore \angle \mathrm{PQO}+\angle \mathrm{PRO}=180^{\circ}\)
One pair of opposite angles is supplementary
∴Quadrilateral PQOR is cyclic
