The play 'The Book that Saved the Earth' conveys that misunderstanding cultural differences can cause uninvited chaos and disaster. Explain this statement in the light of Think-Tank's interpretation of the rhymes in the book 'Mother Goose'.
Official answer
The interpretation of Earthly words and objects is completely strange and funny
Understands simple nursery rhymes literally, lacking understanding of human nature,
culture and humour.
First understands library a barn, then a haberdashery, then think books as sandwiches
Think Tank asks to eat, Omega eats but says how earthlings swallow them as they are very
dry
Then the way they decode the book of nursery rhymes ‘Mother Goose’ - the way each
rhyme is decoded adds much humour.
Innocent verses like Mistress Mary, Hey Diddle Diddle are misunderstood.
Exaggeration of fear of Think Tank- creates panic and forces Martians to abandon their
invasion plan.
